Paramount Veterans Network Joins FourBlock Spring 2023 Career Readiness Program NYC Cohort

On March 29th the Paramount Veterans Network had the pleasure of hosting FourBlock and 18 New York City veterans participating in the Career Readiness Program. This program helps veterans and transitioning veterans gain knowlege in professional development and find purposeful careers. Each week the cohort meets a different company to discuss various corporate skills and tools to help transfer their military service to navigate their job search and get meaninful employment. The program is supported by volunteer instructors who donate their time to assist our veterans and service members.


The New York cohort’s Career Readiness Instructor was Nicholas Pennola, Director Workload Management at the MTA and Army veteran. Nick and the participants went through elevator pitches, and their lesson plan on Career Mapping. Afterwards, a panel consisting of employees from Paramount in HR, Info Sec, and Talent Aquisition. These panelist generously gave their time, answered questions and breif networking session. Representing Paramount were James O’Neil, Director of Talent Aquisition, Andrea Wagner, Recruiter, Paramount Tech, Inno Tolentino, Sr. Recruiter, Paramount Tech. Representing Paramount were Jim Garrisi, VP, Information Security who has served 20 years and counting in the Army, and Chanel Lamb, Sr. Director, HR and Air Force veteran.


Paramount Veterans Network was thrilled to be apart of the Spring 2023 FourBlock Career Readiness Program New York City cohort. Once again we thank all our great panelists and instructors for a productive session.


As one added bonus the members of the cohort, with Paramount VetNet were able to attend two tapings of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
